“ This is the best donut place we have gotten donuts from in a while. Go early to get a full selection. Although all the ones weve tried so far are delicious. Since we come from Olive Hill and just found this place about 4 weeks ago, we have only been here twice. Have not been able to get a picture of the donuts yet because they get eaten before pictures are taken. My only criticism would be the donut box. Although it is cute, the donuts start turning stale by the next day. ”

“ Honestly, we stopped in this place because of the name. We love anything pirate related! They were pretty busy both in the drivethru and inside. The service was great though! We had never been here and we were taking longer than we probably should, but there were so many options to choose from that we couldnt make up our minds. A line had already formed behind us, but the lady waiting on us was very patient with us and didnt make us feel rushed. Unfortunately, the counter area was closed so we couldnt eat inside. They had a little covered patio outside that we sat at, but it was a little chilly so we didnt stay long. The donuts were amazing! I loved that they werent super sweet and sugary like most donuts. They had great flavor and tasted fresh. The custard filled ones had the perfect ratio of custard to donut. We ended up getting a dozen so we could try a variety and because they came in a treasure chest looking box I couldnt even pick a favorite, I loved them all! Coffee was delicious too! Wish we had a place like this back home! Will definitely stop in if we are ever in Ashland again! ”

“ I love all the jolly pirate locations. I live closest to the Ashland Kentucky one and they close a little earlier and that would probably be my only complaint. Theres times in the middle of the night or the middle day I crave a donut and they dont have my selection because they close at 500 p.m. otherwise, great service, great donuts, great people, and they deserve five stars all the way around! ”
